Variety Plot – Drayton

This was another of our yearly C&M soft red winter wheat variety plots. This field followed soybeans, gets plenty of manure and is conventional til. The plot was planted with a 15′ John Deere drill and had  5 gal of G24 liquid starter added at planting. This field received a single application of UAN+ATS 35 gal at greenup. A growth regulator was applied, tank-mixed with the herbicide. Fungicide was applied at heading. This field experienced some lodging, likely due to the long history of manure.
